| Jeffrey Gives Back |
Award winning San Diego Chef, Jeffrey Strauss, owner of Pamplemousse Grille in Del Mar chooses ENF as one of his charitable organizations to support annually. The "Nice Guys" Organization recently awarded Jeffrey for his philanthropic work within the community. Jeffrey shared his gift with ENF and several other organizations. We are proud to have Jeffrey join us each year at our "Harvest for Hope" fundraiser. He generously donates the very popular Live Auction Item of dinner in your home for 8, prepared by Jeffrey. ENF gives thanks to Jeffrey Strauss for all that he does to support our programs and assist our children and their families.

Volunteers are Appreciated |
Margarita Nuno
Margarita has been an active volunteer with the Emilio Nares Foundation since January 2008. She is one of our most devoted, faithful and reliable volunteers. Through November 2008, she has accumulated 546 volunteer hours. She has learned so much about the foundation that she is considered part of the staff.
Margarita has been working in most ENF activities, including the Eating Nutritious Food program, which promotes healthy foods and cooking to hospital patients and their families. She is also in charge of the Emilio's Snack Bags program, which are delivered weekly to children who are receiving treatment at the hospital. She coaches new volunteers or interns to some of the programs, and is eager to assist the staff when needed. She works hard in every special event she participates, among them: Camp Agape, Harvest for Hope, ENF's Easter Egg hunt, and many more.
Last September she was finally invited to receive Rady Children's Hospital volunteer training, which enabled her to expand her volunteer service to the hospital's Resource Center. Her punctuality, professionalism and reliability make her a great asset to the foundation. We are most fortunate to have her work among us and for the talents and dedication she brings to the foundation. We are grateful to have met such a good-hearted person, great volunteer and wonderful friend. Thanks Margarita for all you do!!!
