From the Director's Desk

                                                                                 February , 2009

Dear Richard,

Highlighted by President Obama's inauguration, the month of January marked the beginning of a new era and new hope. Now,  it's hard to believe February is almost over, hard economic times continue to affect all, but we all look forward to the future and to positive change.  Thankfully, ENF continues to maintain services in our areas of responsibility, in spite of a significant reduction in our operating budget. Patients' needs have not decreased, so we are aggressively trying to  combine efforts with old and new partners, optimizing our resources, moving forward with renewed hope always thinking that we shall not relent in supporting those in need.

Sincerely,

Richard Nares

ENFsponsors, Tasha Kuxhausen, General Manager of Wine Steals, Point Loma introduced to her staff the work performed by ENF. To our big surprise, the Wine Steals staff, decided to pool and donate a percentage of their hard earned tips to help the foundation maintain our programs operational.  Despite hard economic times, it's inspiring to see the flame  of good will in the hearts of our community continues to shine brightly.

On behalf of all the families who will benefit from your  generosity: Thank you and your wonderful staff Tasha.
