Camp Agape (the Greek word for love), is a summer camp gathering for families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer. The Emilio Nares Foundation and the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society host Camp Agape each year during Labor Day weekend at Camp Marston in Julian. This fun filled weekend brings approximately thirty five families including over 100 children to spend some quality time away from their daily worries.
These families gather to share some fun activities. The children dealing with cancer can take advantage of the many amenities and participate in activities that Camp Marston has to offer, such as:
- Archery
- B-B gun shooting
- Rock climbing
- Swimming
- and many other outdoor activities.

The Emilio Nares Foundation and the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society combine their efforts on many levels, including the organization of several activities focused on the parents, among these:
- A Spa treatment
- Hairstylist form local Hair Salons come up to Camp Marston and pamper the mothers with a new hair styling, facial treatment
- Parents enjoy a relaxing session of and yoga
- Mothers and Fathers take enjoy the benefits of acupuncture and massage sessions.
The weekend family activities include with a "Celebration for the true champions: The children".
- They celebrate by all 35 families joining together in the family dance, animated by a professional D.J.
- Children are honored with awards for their courage in dealing daily with their life threatening illness.
- The Camp finalizes all activities with a spiritual ceremony to inspire all to continue the fight until next time they meet.
Each year has a unique theme. All camping gear, toiletries, sleeping bags and more are donated for the families and they are able to take home these donated items. Camp Agape is sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society.
