Transportation service is essential to ensure that sick children access
weekly chemotherapy and other crucial medical appointments when their
families lack personal transportation and public transportation is
not adequate. ENF launched Ride with Emilio in August 2005 with the
purchase of a van. The van serves 20 families weekly (5-6 children
daily). ENF expanded this program in early 2006 with the purchase
of a second van to serve an additional 10-20 families weekly. In addition, we work diligently with UCSD Moores Cancer Center and Kaiser Permanente Hospital and provide transportation to patients in need. Finally, in 2009 ENF successfully launched Ride with Emilio in Orange County, serving children who receive treatment in Children's Hospital of Orange County!
