ENF purchases fourth van!
On March 2011, ENF purchased its 4th van with a generous donation from our wonderful sponsor "Las Patronas". The van has a capacity of 15 passengers and it is mostly used in the north county route. With this new purchase, one of our vans will make its way to Children's Hospital of Orange County to serve that area. Now, we will have two vans in Orange County and two in San Diego!! Thanks "Las Patronas" for your ongoing support and love to our cause!!!!!
Sewing for Hope
On March 2011 ENF re-introduced its Sewing for Hope program in the Oncology/Hematology department. In this program, moms have a chance to not only learn a new skill, but fix their own garments under close supervision. Also, moms get to relate to each other, make new friends and pass the time that otherwise would seem very long and unbearable.
ENF office relocates to new location
ENF has now relocated to a new location. Thanks to the generosity of Rady Children's Hospital, ENF has a new space in the old Ronald McDonald House. The physical address is 3101 Berger Avenue.
ENF purchases third van
Thanks to the generosity of the UPS Foundation and the Art Pratt Foundation of Old Mission Rotary Club, the Emilio Nares Foundation was able to purchase van number three!!!! With the purchase of this van, we will be able to better serve families of children who receive cancer treatments at Rady Children's Hospital. Thank you UPS Foundation and Art Pratt Foundation of Old Mission Rotary Club for your ongoing support and generosity.
Ride with Emilio at Children's Hospital of Orange County
ENF is proud to announce its newest program yet. Ride with Emilio at Children's Hospital of Orange County was launched on July 13, 2009. This successful new program serves a large geographical area of Orange County and it provides a much needed service to families residing in this area.

Richard Nares chosen for People Magazine's All-Stars Among Us.
Richard Nares been chosen as one of 30 all-stars in the country in People Magazine contest called All-stars Among Us. The contest is for individuals who have gone above and beyond to serve their community. The 30 all-stars chosen will be honored at the 2009 MLB All-Star Game in St. Louis on July 14th and will be featured in People magazine. President Obama will be in attendance at the game and will throw out the first pitch. Congratulations Richard!

New ENF Family Resource Centers at
Rady Children's Hospital
Our mission at the Family Resource Facilities is to provide a supportive
environment for families to help them identify specific resources
which might be helpful to them while their child is sick and in the
hospital.
Our friendly staff, both volunteers at Rady Children's Hospital and provided through the generosity of Emilio Nares Foundation (EMF), provide help to all patient families. The parent center is a perfect place for families with questions. In addition, we have maps and can direct families to specific locations such as showers, dining rooms, and different areas of the hospital. We also have information about public transportation and directions. The staff is available to help any families in need of information.
Computer Lab - Our computer lab with Internet access is available for the use of parents and adult family members (over 18 years) during our hours of operation. We also have a copier and fax machine.
Location: Acute Care Pavilion, Warren Family Surgical Center.
